Manufacturers and designers are still using the conventional materials like wood, metal, aluminum, glass, plywood, MDF board, etc to create modern and new designs furniture. They are also testing new materials like, plastic, rubber, Plexiglas, PP/abs, synthetic rattan, resin, and poly foam to design new, modern and fancy looking furniture. It is also getting colorful and stylist by days.
Due to the availability of advanced and sophisticated machinery and tooling in manufacturing, far complicated and difficult designs are possible to produce these days.
Bringing a new product, from drawing board to the final consumers is by no means an easy task. It also takes a lot of hardworking, efforts and eventually money. And even just to recuperate the cost, the developer has to sell a lot of it. That is the reason why it is also quite expensive compare to the other types of furniture in the market. They also have to spend serious advertisement dollars to make it successful and that is not even guaranteed. The chance of success is 5-15% maximum on such industry. Therefore, most of the very good looking designs will ended up just being very good looking that could not be sold. And eventually they will be taken off the shelf forever.
Nevertheless, as far as the crowd will keep coming in, the will and desire to conquer them will be always there and people will keep trying. Therefore, the trend of new and modern furniture will continue at least for the time being. And for tomorrow, we will just have to wait and see.
